I am not sure about the Excursion; but my 2015 Discovery uses an ITC 69231BLS fixture.  The glass removes with a 1/8 CCW turn.  It is a very tight and hard to grip. The fixture is then pried down carefully.  Mine has 3 spring clips on the side of the lamp body.  Pry straight down carefully.  Good luck.
