When we first got our new to us 2011 Providence the awning would extend with a single touch of the button. I found the wireless remote for it and replaced the battery. As soon as the battery was inserted the awning retracted. Since that point the awning will not deploy without pushing the extend button multiple times. The retract still works with a single push. Also, the lights on the control panel to show the wind sensing level are all dark and do not respond. I have pulled the power on the unit multiple time to no avail. Does anyone have any idea?

I did immediately. No luck.I have a little more information. I found that the wind sensor has been disable via the remote when I put the battery in it. I found a troubleshooting guide online that discussed these symptoms. If it is disabled and you press extend it only extends for 4 seconds and then you have to let go and depress it again for 4 seconds.

The remote has a solid red light so I think I have a faulty button. From what I have read you can only enable/disable the wind sensor with the remote. Does anyone know if there is another method to enable the wind sensor without the remote?
