We have exhausted going through 2 separate dealer companies.  We have been lied to regarding Work be able to be performed at these dealers, they have sold us a defective $150,000 piece of equipment and now it has sat for more than a month, leaking, creating more issues inside all while temperatures are below freezing for the past 2 weeks.... If I get this to Decatur Indiana, will I be helped?  It’s not even 2 months old and already nobody seems to want to do minor warranty repair work regarding Heat and a windshield leak,... why don’t these companies want to stand by the product they sell?  We are so heartbroken by this, we almost believe we’ve made a mistake buying a brand new USA built diesel pusher...

    Hello,

I and the whole RV community understand being heart broken by the lack of first build quality and the low service in the RV market. I had the same experience with two new units. My second unit (keep track) 18 months out of the 20 I owned at the dealer. It took 2 years to get my RV perfect. But with lots (heaps, bags, loads, masses, tons, oodles, stacks etc.) of persistence and  being the squeaky wheel constantly (might add thru many service people as turnover in the market is very high) got the RV unit in as good as shape as you can. Please just keep at it there are some service techs that can fix and make it right. The other point is to take some of the responsibility on yourself to search out information on your problem as it help knowing the issues and past fixes.Good luck.

The technicians at the Decatur service center are top notch.  Call for an appointment and give them your list of items to be repaired.  Plan to arrive the day before your appointment, find a site in their "campground," and check in.  They will be out early the next morning to take your motor home into the service facility, and will deliver it back to you about 4:00 PM.  You will be able to stay as many days as it takes to complete your repairs.

Marcus, we agree Decatur personnel are the absolute best, local dealer's techs can't begin to compare with them! Decatur will fix your problems and hopefully have you smiling again. Make an appointment before you go so they will be expecting you. We haven't had the need (fingers crossed) to go to the Oregon site which is closer to us now (we live in Arizona). Good Luck.

I would concur with previous comments on the quality of service provided by the Techs at Fleetwood's Decatur Service Facility, but, you definitely need to call ahead and make an appointment.

We tried to get an appointment for a time when we were passing through the area last May, but couldn't get the exact date wanted, and had to wait a couple of days.

They offer a great parking facility with 50amp service at no charge, and a big lounge area while waiting.

The Techs start at 6:00 am and if you are on the schedule for that time, they will be there on time.

The Techs have all the experience necessary, and the availability of parts is on site.

We were very pleased, and would not hesitate to drive back for any major work.

While waiting you can take a tour of their manufacturing facility which was an excellent, in depth tour.

Wish you all the best with this.

Ditto on Decatur. You can go without an appointment but you then get in the first come first served line and are limited to three items per visit. If you have an appointment it all gets done before you leave.

I'm eight hours away and I won't let any other service group touch my unit unless its a simple black box replacement item and even then I'd be tempted to tough it out until I can get a Decatur appointment. I figure the value of the RV is worth the investment to get it worked on right by the right people and so far I haven't been disappointed. We ended up going through there three times during the warranty period for one thing or another. Most of the big stuff was fixed on the first visit. The minor nagging problems that had to get bad enough to fix and some wear in issues took a little longer.

It has been our experience they will fix anything that is requested during a scheduled appointment.  If not scheduled they will work on 3 things but you may have to wait as time permits.  During warranty period with appointment or noted prior to warranty expiration they will fix to your satisfaction as required!  After warranty period you will have to pay for parts, supplies and labor.  Hope you have as good an experience as we have had.  Too bad several things need addressed during warranty period due to lack of qualified quality control - appears to be the same with all manufacturers tho...  We had outside windshield molding reattached during first warranty visit but it wasn't addressed properly as after warranty period the windshield was leaking and trapped water dash/windshield which we couldn't see due to shape of dash.  Learned at Eastern Rally in Seffner last January it is a common problem due to not sealing windshield properly prior to installation of cover molding.

We have a 2016 Fleetwood Excursion with many of the same problems   Our dealer was great on the sale but zero on the service.  When we joined the FMA it was an eye opening experience finding nearly everyone else had the same problems.  After nearly a year and the dealer having the coach more than we did we got in touch with Fleetwood Warrany Department since our warranty was about to expire.  As it turns out that was the best call we made to date and wish we had made it sooner.  They extended our warranty and made sure all of our repairs were taken care of.  Since we live in Florida and not close to a repair center they recommended Lazy Days RV in Tampa.  This has also been a very pleasant experience as they have worked with Fleetwood to make all of the repairs even though we didn’t purchase through Lazy Days (our mistake!).   If we knew then what we know now we would have definitely bypassed the desler and gone directly to Fleetwood. It would have definitely saved us a lot of stress, time, and money.

    Live and Learn  I guess!!
