Has anyone tried to install a sleep number style bed in an RV that has the bed fold almost in half when closing like the 2017 Discovery?

No one responded but I did install a Sleep Number bed in a 2017 Discovery with the bed that tilts to close. Takes some doing but can be done. It needs to be installed with the hose connections at the foot instead of the head but they have an r5 style just for motorhomes.

We have not tried the Sleep Number bed in our 2016 Storm, but a mattress that folds in half would be a big improvement.  The Storm 32H has a slide that comes to the foot of the bed, but in order to get a queen mattress in there you have to pull the mattress down and place the supplied cushion at the head of the bed in order to not have your feet hang off.  The foot is still not supported but at least you aren't sleeping with your knees under you chin.

With the foam side rails I don't know how easy it would be to manually fold the bed but for the Discovery that power bends in the middle, all I need to do is lower the pressure to about 20 psi or so which is very easy. I did have to get creative with running the hoses but it worked well.

I just wanted to reply IHave a 2015 38K and I am looking to do the same in my unit. It was good to see that someone has already done it.  So the question I have to you is since this was an upgrade option but the first owner did not have the upgrade, is the power source already under the bed?  Any help that you can provide would be great.
