We are full timers with a 2013 Bounder 35K with two toilets and the Dometic vacuflush system.  It has broken down each year.  Even Fleetwood acknowledges that the system has issues. I'm looking at replacing it with a macerating system.  Does anyone have any experience or information to share?

We also have the Vacu- flush system in our 2008 Pace Arrow with annual problems. Right now it is working well, knock on wood! Personally I have no experience with a macerating system, but it is my understanding that the Vacu-flush is needed to get the waste from toilet to black tank and a macerating system would be to get the waste out of the black tank. Very interested to see what your investigation results in.

We have  a 2018 35K bounder, the vacuflush is connected on bot toilets, we have replaced the duck bill valves 4 times in 2 years. We also have had the pump replaced with no help from Fleetwood. Any suggestions?

We have a 2013 Bounder 35K that I have written about previously.  After multiple issues with duck bill valves and failing or exploding pumps we replace the entire system with a macerating system.  We had each toilet plumbed separately so if one toilet malfunctioned we still had one that worked.  Neither has failed.  That was 2 year sago and we have had no problem since.  It was not cheap, but no more hassle and no service calls has made it worth it .

We purchased our 2014 35K in Oct 2018. As newbees we did not understand the "red to green" nature of the status light. We turned it on to use and off when done. I finally did some reading and the research. The duck bill were next on my list. That's when I took it in for service and the entire vacuum generator was replaced courtesy of the extended warranty. The last tweak was a slow vacuum leak. This was isolated  a crack in one of the plastic flange on the floor. Hopefully if I have any further issues with the vacuflush system, it is still within the extended warranty period.

About your change to the maserating  toilets . . .
Does each toilet simply deliver it's discharge to the original black tank and you then empty the black tank as you always have?

What was the cost of this change?
