Hello everyone. Christy and I have just started our adventure in a 2013 Discovery 40E....we love our new  home. We have had some kinks to work out but the pleasure of this motor coach outweighs the work. We look forward to visiting with our fellow Fleetwood family along the way.

Welcome to the club.  Have patience, embrace challenge and be open to out of pocket expenses on things you feel you shouldn't have to pay for and you'll love your Fleetwood. We have an '06 Providence and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

    Hello

I am also new to motor homes.  I just purchased a 2004 Fleetwood Discovery and I have many questions to all of you regarding common sense issues to be resolved.

    1. Planning to flat tow a 2000 4WD Dodge Dakota with the pneumatic feature of the motor home.  I would appreciate guidance and comments to make this work.

    2.  The headlights on the coach are minimal.  Is there an upgrade to maximize visibility?  How do you change and adjust the headlights on the motor home?  How do I access the headlights to replace them?

We love our motor home and we would love it more once we learn "all the secrets" from experienced Discovery owners.

I thank you all in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.cx

Carl and Christy, welcome. You will find that owner forums is where you will get some of your best help and advise. Being as you have a Discovery, I would suggest you also join DOAI (Discovery Owners Association). www.discoveryowners.com  Also take a look at FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association).

Jesus, not sure if there is an upgrade for your headlights, but they can be replaced. Yours could be like a lot of older coaches and the lights are faded or glazed over. sometimes they can be cleaned. I cleaned mine on my 2006 Discovery, but it took a lot of work. My cousin replaced his on his 2003. I did have the item number for ordering the new lights, but now I can't seem to find them. If I find them I will post or email you. The lights can be accessed from the back side. You can actually change the bulbs.

If you have not purchased a tow bar for your tow vehicle, I would suggest Blue Ox. www.blueoxtowbars.com

I would also suggest you take a look at DOAI (Discovery owners Association) You can get a lot of great help and advise on their forum.

Jesus, here is the link for headlight replacement that my cousin used for his 03 Discovery. Yours should be the same. Note that they are different for drivers and passengers side. Hope this helps.
