Southwind 2005 with an onan generator. The generator starts and runs fine but will not power the RV. I've cycled the two 30a breakers on the generator and I've cycled the 50a main house breaker. I just purchased the RV in June and the first couple times it worked fine. Also, the shore power cord works fine (powers the RV when connected). Any suggestions?

Pardon the basic question, is there socket in your electric bay to plug your Generator  or shore power cod into?   The age of the unit indicates it might not have an automatic transfer switch.  That is done by which place you plug your 30amp plug.
if that’s it you have an easy fix.  Make sure the Generator isn’t running when you plug the coaches power into the socket.

Thanks for asking, the generator was transferring over to the RV fine two or three times that we tried/used it. You could literally hear the transfer switch cut over about 10 seconds after turning on the generator. Then all the sudden it wouldn't transfer. The shore power cord does plug into a socket, but we never had to plug the generator in. There looks like a cable comes from the back of the generator and goes up through the compartment and into the RV.
