Just curious.  is anyone having issues with the exterior paint on their MH.  My Bounder has a beautiful paint job and I love the colors.  My issue is that I have noticed small hairline cracks on all of the fiberglass panels. I have had it looked at and been told that the cracks are coming from the fiberglass panel.  I had one area repaired and the cracks were in the fiberglass and had to be ground out and filled with new glass and repainted.  VERY EXPENSIVE fix on just this little area.  I have these cracks on every fiberglass panel on the coach.  Fleetwood says they will not do anything about the paint.  My feeling is that the fiberglass laminate is faulty.

    ANY THOUGHTS????

Jerry, we have a 2008 Bounder and our paint is also 'cracking.' When we were at Fleetwood in Decatur last summer we asked about it. We were told the cracking was a by-product of sun and heat. In other words, kind of normal wear and tear for its age and the fact it sets outside in our back yard, and we live in AZ. We have owned it about nine years now. We have noticed the darker colors are cracking more than the lighter colors in the paint pattern. We were also told there is nothing that can be done to stop it from getting worse except to store it inside, which would mean building a garage.

We do have the coach washed and waxed once a year. We don't know if this does anything to help with the issue.

Thank you for your comments. I don't really agree with Fleetwood people though. Paint on cars does not crack, it does fade.  My cracking seems to be caused by too much flexing in the fiberglass panels on the slide outs. when the small area I had repaired the cracks went all the way into the laminate.
