Hello. I have 2017 Fleetwood Pace Arrow. There is a small solar panel mounted on the roof AC.

I was told this solar panel doesn't do much. What would be the best upgrade for solar power to keep the battery charging ( I have 4 x 6V, 75 AMP each battery ).

To be honest... you can run your genset for an hour and it would put more charge into your batt bank than any solar setup is going to accomplish all day.  Plus you should exercise the genset anyway and won't need to put holes into the roof.

Mariusz,  perhaps you misunderstand the purpose for the small singular solar panel on your roof.  It is there to keep your batteries trickle charged while in storage.  Even with everything turned off in your coach, there is still a slight draw and this panel is intended to let you have full batteries after an extended down time.

the people telling you it doesn’t do much are probably talking about using solar for boondocking.  As the previous poster said, you can set your generator to auto start and stop to recharge your batteries when they get low while you are in the RV.    Hope this helps.

I am a little late to the game, but Pete is absolutely correct. Just for putting this out there, I have similar, and it is hardwired to the house batteries. I added a second one for my Engine battery for while it is in storage, Before I added it, if I didn't start my Rig at least every three weeks, my battery would be completely dead. $30 for a trickle charger is a lot better than $100+ on Batteries
